Electric String Trimmer VS Gas String Trimmer

    Tags: Trimmers

What benefits does an electric string trimmer have over a gas string trimmer? Does it perform better? Does it help you finish your yard work quicker? In this article we will find out why most people prefer electric trimmers over gas.

One benefit is, just like the gas trimmer the cordless electric string trimmer does not require you to use any extension cords. Nothing can be more frustrating than having to move a cord out of your way as you trim your grass.

But, unlike the gas trimmer, you do not have to worry about buying gas. It is crazy how much gas has gone up these days and to think about buying it for a trimmer is a bit much. I do not know where you live, but where I live gas prices are high. I know you feel the affect also.

Then there is the noise. Gas powered trimmers are noisy. Try weed eating your grass in the morning and see if you do not make your wife and neighbors mad. Having to wear ear plugs to keep from going deaf. Cordless electric string trimmers do make some noise, but they are not as loud as gas trimmers.

Another thing about electric string trimmers is, they do not pollute the air like gas trimmers. Taking good care of the air we breath is very important for our environment. With all of the talk about global warming, it is time we do our share of protecting the air.

As far as performance goes, there are some electric string trimmers they will out perform gas trimmer. I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true. You can cut down the toughest weeds in your yard if you have the right trimmer.

Will it help you finish your yard work quicker? No! The amount of time it takes you to trim with a gas trimmer will not be the same. Why? Because, using an electric string trimmer requires the use of a battery and batteries do run down.

Now, unless you have one that came with 2 batteries, it is going to take you a little longer. You see, with one battery you will have to wait for it to recharge, but if you have two batteries you are able to keep working while the other charges.

In conclusion, an electric string trimmer has it advantages over gas powered trimmer, yet it has its disadvantages also. If you are looking at electric string trimmers, make sure it can handle the toughest jobs in your yard.

It makes no sense to buy an electric string trimmer that cannot get the job done, causing you to work harder. Check out the NST2018 electric string trimmer to get the job done.
